I have always loved helping people and being an active listener. Eventually, choosing therapy as a career came as second nature to me. As a therapist, I have worked in hospitals, residential care as well as outpatient behavioral care settings, working with a range of clients from children to older adults living with a variety of mental health diagnoses.
My approach to therapeutic alliance is integrative as well as person-centered. I believe every person is unique in their own way and treatment planning is tailored towards your unique needs. I utilize evidence-based practices including but not limited to Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Sometimes it feels like we live in a fast-paced world where we may feel like time is passing us by or sometimes, we feel “stuck” in our daily routines and life may become sometimes mundane. I believe that awareness and bringing ourselves to the moment is one of the many ways we can lead satisfying lives. I see myself as an easygoing person and this has become one of my strengths in self-care through my childhood and adulthood. In my downtime, I enjoy activities that stimulate creativity and relaxation. I particularly enjoy reading sci-fi novels, watching or playing basketball, and playing the piano. I also love traveling and spending time with my wife and our puppy.
