Bio

I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with some form of interpersonal relationship. As humans, we all have a biological need to feel accepted, validated, and understood by others. Feeling disconnected from those most important to you is a deeply painful experience. As a therapist specializing in Emotionally Focused Therapy, I help individuals and couples understand their automatic reactions to these painful and uncomfortable feelings and help them learn better ways to connect with others and meet their needs. I also have additional certifications and training in The Gottman Method, a popular evidence-based behavioral couples therapy modality, which I utilize as well.

I work in the Marriage and Family Therapy field, so I view therapy through a systemic lens that analyses the impact of external systems (most often, family systems) on our present-day interactions and relationships. Whatever your background or present struggles, there is always room for greater understanding, healing, and growth. Whether you are coming to therapy alone, with your partner, or hoping to find a partner, my goal is to help you achieve the connection you deserve so that you can live openly and authentically in the present.

My areas of expertise: couples, individuals who are looking to improve their relationship, those who aren’t sure if they want to stay in their relationship, singles who are looking for a relationship, those who are struggling in relationships with family members, premarital counseling, parenthood, infidelity, divorce, and processing relationship dissolution
