As humans, we all have a biological need to feel accepted, validated, and understood by others. Feeling disconnected from those most important to you is a deeply painful experience. As a therapist that specializes in EFT, I help individuals, couples and families understand their automatic reactions to painful and uncomfortable feelings and help them learn better ways to connect with others and get their needs met. I also have additional certifications and training in The Gottman Method, an evidence-based behavioral couples therapy modality.
I work in the Marriage and Family Therapy field; therefore, I view therapy through a systemic lens that analyses the impact of external systems (most often, family systems) on our present-day interactions and relationships. Whatever your background or present struggles may be, there is always room for greater understanding, healing, and growth. Whether you are coming to therapy alone, with your partner, or hoping to find a partner, my goal is to help you achieve the connection you deserve so that you can live openly and authentically in the present.
My areas of expertise: couples, families, individuals who are looking to improve their relationship, those who are not sure if they want to stay in their relationship, singles who are looking for a relationship, those struggling with family relationships, premarital counseling, parenthood, infidelity, divorce, and relationship dissolution.
