Bio

My goal as a therapist is to empower children and adolescents while providing them skills to cope with life difficulties. I received my BS in Developmental Psychology from University of Minnesota and my Master’s in Social Work from University of Chicago. I specialize in the treatment of children and adolescents, with previous training in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I have experience in a variety of areas including childhood anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), mood disorders, LGBTQIA+, and trauma. I am committed to creating a safe environment for my clients by meeting them where they are at with empathy and understanding. I am dedicated to supporting my clients by holding a nonjudgmental space where clients and families of all races, faiths, genders, and sexual orientations are welcome.
I believe in providing a therapeutic space that is safe and supportive. I provide trauma-informed and culturally sensitive therapy using a variety of evidence-based modalities in my practice including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). In addition, I believe it is important to consider how systems and communities impact an individual’s life. There is no one size fits all to therapy, and individualizing treatment to each individual is an important component. I take a collaborative approach, where I greatly value the therapeutic relationship as an important agent for change. I consider it an honor to work with my clients in navigating life’s successes and challenges.
