Bio

I understand that confronting emotional wounds can be a powerful, overwhelming, and sometimes painful experience. My goal is to help empower you to take an active role in your own healing, as well as provide you with an empathic and judgement-free space.

I operate from a strengths-based and trauma-informed lens that values authenticity, vulnerability, and unconditional positive regard. I know that it can be hard to trust someone with personal and sensitive issues, and I aim to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where you can be your genuine self, communicate freely, and express yourself openly. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults struggling with a wide variety of issues such as body image, disordered eating, self-harm, trauma, mood and personality disorders, sexuality, gender identity, and more. I utulize an eclectic variety of techniques that stem from CBT, DBT, IFS, psychodynamic, existential and feminist theoretical orientations that I tailor to the specific needs of each individual.

I am a licensed professional counselor who has graduated with my M.A in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. Before this, I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. My experience involves a variety of settings including private practice, youth mentorship, and higher levels of care (specifically intensive outpatient programs) where I cultivated my specialization in working with the child/adolescent population.

I consider it my life’s calling to help others on their healing journey, and I feel so grateful to have the opportunity to do that every day. I’m hopeful that you will allow me to take part in this experience and use my skills to help you take the next steps towards health and happiness.
