Safety, connection and empowerment are perhaps the three most important ingredients of a successful therapeutic relationship. I will meet you where you are, and together we will explore what is working and what is maybe not working so well. My approach is a balance of holding space for your emotions while cultivating motivation for change and helping you build accountability for your behaviors.

My goal is to help you connect with your most authentic self, and to support you in living a life guided by your own values. I strive to assist you in achieving your own optimal level of functioning whereby you can integrate past experiences into who you are today, without being defined by them, which requires a delicate balance of holding on and letting go. I foster resilience, connection to self and awareness in my clients.

I received my Master of Social Work Degree from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois. I am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and bring a breadth of experience, having worked across multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient. I have extensive experience treating addictive disorders, mood, anxiety and trauma related disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders and self-esteem problems.

I utilize trauma informed, evidenced based treatment approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response and Prevention (ERP). I use an eclectic approach and adapt the interventions to each individual client’s needs. I am constantly striving to learn more about other treatment modalities that involve the mind/body connection and its implications on a client’s overall health and well-being.
