Bio

As an open-minded and relationship-based therapist, I believe that the most important relationship we create is with our inner self. It is the foundation for our everyday life, and it enables us to heal and grow. Oftentimes, on our journey, we need someone alongside us as we work to understand our inner selves. How we got to that sense of self, how the environment we live in influences how we see ourselves, are all part of what we need to heal and grow. As your therapist, I am committed to providing a comfortable, safe, and trusting environment where we can unpack, process, and reflect on your everyday life.

I have been fortunate to work with a diverse population of clients who have experienced a variety of challenges and roadblocks that impact not only how they see themselves in the world, but also how they can accomplish their life goals. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Studio Arts from Lake Forest College and my Master’s degree in Social Work from Erikson Institute. Through my clinical practice, I strive to integrate modern and traditional therapeutic modalities, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and tailor the interventions to your personal experiences.

I specialize in working with adults, adolescents, and children struggling with mood and anxiety disorders. I am also trained in providing play therapy for children who need more than traditional talk therapy. My approach is to facilitate and empower clients by creating a space of trust that enables you to learn more about yourself. Through that knowledge, we work on exploring those life stressors and work towards problem-solving and building coping skills that guide them to live their desired and connected life. Through active listening, empathy, and understanding the clients’ needs, we can work on creating a safe space to explore these themes.
