Bio

“Hi! My name is Judy Kramer LCSW, and I have almost 30 years of experience in the mental health field. I graduated a long time ago from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with my MSW and a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. Since then, I have worked in all levels of mental health care as well as in private practice therapy throughout the Chicagoland area. I find meaning through supporting clients and families, and I believe that this is reflected in the therapeutic relationships I create with my clients. As a mixed-race individual, I understand the difficulties that come with navigating the world as part of a marginalized community. I welcome clients and families of all races, faiths, genders, sexual orientation, disability status and immigration status. My specialties include working with eating disorders, substance abuse, severe mental health issues, child and adolescent therapy, and family conflict. I take a collaborative approach, which means that I will support you with mindfulness activities, other therapy modalities, and improving the support system around you. I do this with a directive and engaging style that includes humor and empathy. I would be honored to join you on your healing journey.”
