The capacity for growth is hardwired. Unfortunately, life’s uncertainties, demands, and constant shifts keep us in a state of activation which gets in the way of this natural growth process. Instead of embracing change, feeling grounded, confident, and at ease in our lives, we often feel on edge, restless, unsettled, stuck, or apathetic.

The therapeutic space provides the necessary stability, safety, lack of judgment, and connection to permit these inherent processes to occur, ultimately allowing us to heal. As a therapist, I strive to meet my clients where they are when they enter the therapy space. By establishing safe and authentic relationships, clients are able to begin to enhance tolerance for discomfort, increase flexibility in thinking, and improve their relationships. I understand that the ultimate factor in your growth and healing is based on the connection between us, rather than the specific interventions used. In an effort to respect that foundation, I prioritize your individual needs when considering what approach to use.

My experiences providing therapy have led me to specialize in treating anxiety disorders, depression, mood swings, bipolar disorders, substance use issues, grief/loss, and trauma. I also have experience working with individuals with eating disorders and/or disordered eating. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I commit to accepting you for who you are, holding space for what may arise in each session, and encouraging holistic growth and recovery. Effective therapy is proof that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and I hope you choose to take that journey with me.
