Clients struggling with their mental health can often feel incapacitated by repeated painful and uncomfortable emotional experiences. We may lose sight of where our symptoms end and where our true self begins. I meet clients where they are in their journey and help them to develop a strong sense of self to cope with negative emotional experiences, increase happiness, and improve their quality of life.

I offer an environment that is safe, supportive, and free of judgment where I use strengths-based and client-centered approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. It is often difficult to recognize one’s own strength and resilience. Providing a space to reflect and heal can allow for personal growth, self-actualization, and resolutions which all have the power to increase one’s capacity to lead a meaningful and joyful life. I believe an essential part of my role is to empower connection and exploration within your internal world to enhance your inner strength and ability to work through challenges that life presents.

The way I treat clients draws from cognitive-behavioral theory (CBT), and psychodynamic theory. Recognizing clients’ individual differences informs the creation of a treatment plan that is unique, and specifically tailored to them. I work with clients to develop, implement, and monitor their course of treatment so they are empowered to take ownership of the work we do together while feeling supported in an empathetic and understanding environment. I received my Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have a history of working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with General Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, rapid mood changes, and major life transitions.
