Bio

Life often presents each of us with a wide variety of challenges, such as difficulties balancing life demands/expectations or traumatic life events. These experiences may cause feelings of depression, anxiety, PTSD, or substance abuse difficulties. Often many of us believe there is nowhere to turn, but therapy can offer support, deeper understanding, and tools to assist us in managing these challenges. It is my priority to personalize a treatment plan to meet each of my client’s unique needs and reach their therapy and personal goals.

I view therapy as a collaborative process between myself and my client. Providing a non-judgmental and safe environment for clients is paramount to my treatment style. I work from an integrative approach, utilizing a Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral framework. While my expertise in psychological theory and scientifically supported treatment models shape my therapeutic approach, I am driven by the power of the relationship that is cultivated between myself and my clients. I strive to best understand my clients’ experiences and meet their unique needs. I’m committed to supporting my clients and equipping them with the tools they need to achieve their goals. I believe deeply in one’s ability to create and sustain positive life changes and I feel honored to be a part of that process.

I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and have training in a multitude of clinical settings. I have extensive experience treating adults with various clinical concerns, such as trauma, depression, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, stress management, mindfulness/relaxation, cultural diversity, and issues associated with substance abuse. My education, clinical training, and experience helped me develop the strength-based approach I utilize with every client.
