Counseling and psychotherapy are deeply personal endeavors so when it comes to therapy, my philosophy centers around a commitment to service and putting my clients’ needs first. I work with my clients to help them express feelings and concerns that they might not feel comfortable sharing with anyone else. My goal and passion are to support my clients to overcome obstacles and challenges to improve their relationships, and self-esteem and ultimately help facilitate change.

My approach is to listen and understand with compassion and empathy. It is important for me that my client feels uplifted, safe, and not judged. This approach has helped my clients meet their goals and achieve life-changing experiences.

I completed my Master’s in Social Work at Aurora University. My most unique experiences in mental and behavioral therapy came from working in an alternative school setting for 4+ years, where the educational environment is designed to accommodate some of the most unique behavioral, educational, and medical needs of students. My skills in de-escalation processes and crisis intervention are honed and sharpened by my daily experiences of managing common and unprecedented behaviors and situations. I also have experience working in the men’s and adolescent unit at a behavioral hospital where I was able to practice clinical therapy and incorporate several treatment modalities such as DBT, CBT, ACT, and strengths-based therapy. My specialties include ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, and PTSD.
