Bio

Working with my clients to help them navigate obstacles in their professional and personal lives. Helping clients understand the importance of developing supportive, meaningful, and healthy connections not only with the world around them but within themselves is my specialty. Using community resources, supportive networks, and maintaining life balance not only in the short term but for the long term. Providing clients with knowledge, empathy, consistent motivational support to better access solutions to their obstacles.

Every Child and Adult is different. It is important in my practice to articulate these differences and develop treatment plans that best fit my client’s needs based on an individual approach. Therapy can feel stagnant at times, my goal is to use the variety of experience and treatment modalities to help limit this discouragement. Applying readiness to change, motivational interviewing, DBT/CBT, and solution-focused therapy are how I best can help.

I have developed a career around Child/ Adolescent therapeutic skills training for children with personality and mood disorders. I have extensive training in providing community support and outreach. Several years of Inpatient psychiatry experience working with clients with a variety of issues- crisis management, personality, mood, anxiety, and depression disorders. Creating supportive and realistic treatment plans for clients that experience extreme symptoms related to psychosis. Previously have worked with clients to provide support for current and past trauma. I have completed a two-year program for Addiction studies, previously worked with clients struggling with addictions helping them develop and achieve goals for sobriety. I have a Clinical Psychology Degree from Saint Xavier University, an Advance associate in Addiction studies, and a Masters of Social worker from Governors State University.
