My love of psychology began early on. Early experiences fed my passion to understand, and I found myself wanting to know everything I could. The floodgates into the realm of psychology were opened. I was able to take an introduction to psychology course in high school and that solidified my interest. All throughout college I couldn’t get enough of learning about different psychological disorders. At the same time, I loved learning about the human body and everything that surrounded medicine. By working in psychiatry, I am able to combine these two passions and help others.
I am a licensed and certified physician assistant. I was raised in the Western Chicago suburbs and attended Loyola University Chicago and received my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Psychology, minoring in Neuroscience and Classical Civilizations. I went on to study at South College in Knoxville, Tennessee earning a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. During my physician assistant program, I received clinical training in psychiatry, family medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and internal medicine. I’m an intrinsically motivated individual that combines knowledge and science with compassion and understanding. My lifelong love of learning combined with an adept understanding of body language and social cues helps build rapport with patients and develops a better plan with the most up to date evidence-based medicine. A person is mind, body, and spirit, and thus requires a multifaceted approach to their well-being. I look forward to helping manage a diverse patient population including those with depression, anxiety, ADHD, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorders.
