From a very early age, my values have always included harmony, positivity, and being nurturing to others. I believe this has followed me into my career, as I warmly listen to my client’s most vulnerable and difficult experiences of their lives.
As a clinician with a passion for psychological testing, the first step in my practice is to gather a comprehensive picture of how their experiences have shaped them into their current state. Often, this leads to clients revealing painful or vulnerable experiences. Therefore, I take a detail-oriented, empathic, and nonjudgmental approach to listening and staying in those moments with my client. In this way, I can better understand my clients’ history, culture, and values to incorporate those into an individualized treatment plan.
I have a great deal of experience working in medical centers, which has allowed me the opportunity to witness the mind and body relationship. Due to this, I integrate recommendations for physical health as well as mental health since one often cannot thrive without the other. I work with the lifespan seeing children, adults, and the geriatric population. I also have a passion working with those involved in patient care, such as creating an IEP for a school system or creating problem solving strategies for a caregiver. I thoroughly enjoy speaking with those close to the client to ensure those treatment recommendations are understood and followed through in the client’s environment. My specialties include neuropsychology testing, especially for executive functioning and memory difficulties. I also specialize in mood disorders and comorbid medical illness and/or physical disability diagnoses.
