Therapy aids the healing of prior wounds and prevention of returning to prior behaviors. As someone with extensive training and experience working with those afflicted with addiction, I believe that substances are not the issue, they are the solution. Once an individual is substance free, we can work together to uncover the ‘why’ and best path towards healing and recovery.

With me, you will receive support, accountability, learn coping strategies, work towards creating or repairing healthier relationships, relapse prevention – all from a new perspective. I have a great sense of humor, and have found that it allows my clients to feel more comfortable in our sessions. I use a strengths-based approach to treatment and utilize evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I have over a decade of experience working in the addiction field and have been intensively trained in a variety of modalities to ensure I can provide the most personalized treatment to each of my clients and their families, providing individual, family and group therapy.

I am a clinically trained interventionist and psychotherapist. I treat individuals who struggle with addiction and also provide support for their family during the healing process. I have worked in a variety of settings including medical detox, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care.

I am a Chicago native who received my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Loyola University Chicago and holds a Bachelor degree from DePaul University. I am a state of Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addiction & Drug Counselor. Prior to working as a private psychotherapist and interventionist, I worked at Harborview Recovery Center located in AMITA Saint Joseph’s Hospital Chicago as their primary addiction counselor on their CDU (chemical dependence unit). My responsibilities included: meeting with patients/ clients for individual therapy as well as leading group therapy sessions; conducting psychoeducational lectures; and co-facilitating the organization’s Family Program, which involved therapeutically working with the parents, spouses, partners and loved ones of patients/ clients enrolled in treatment services. Prior to joining Harborview’s clinical team, I worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Gateway Foundation for over three years and began my career in the treatment industry as an intake coordinator at New Hope Recovery Center.
