Throughout our lives, we find ourselves in situations which challenge, overwhelm, and exhaust us. Change can be intimidating to face, but is often necessary and inevitable. As a therapist, I walk alongside my clients throughout their difficulties in life, with a delicate balance of emotional processing and motivation for change. Offering an empowering and empathetic approach, I help clients find their inner power to overcome tough obstacles in their lives.

Oftentimes we are unable to recognize our own unique strengths while facing seemingly insurmountable trials. My goal as a therapist is to gently guide you down your most effective path for surviving, and building, resilience through adversity. I am an eclectic therapist who utilizes a variety of modalities, including but not limited to: cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, and motivational interviewing (MI). I recognize that every client requires a unique approach, and will therefore apply my knowledge to your own specific needs and preferences.

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a wide range of experience. I have worked with clients of all ages, from early childhood to geriatric populations, and from a wide array of socioeconomic backgrounds. I am well aware of the influence one’s stage of development and financial situation have on one’s psychological needs. My clinical experience ranges from working with DCFS youth in transitional living programs to providing behavioral healthcare to veterans in a primary care environment, as well as treating patients within an inpatient psychiatric setting. Additionally, I have treated clients struggling with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, sexual trauma, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, personality disorders, trauma-related disorders, grief and loss, and relationship issues, among others. I am a Russian-American woman who is deeply conscious of the impact cultural upbringing has on one’s mentality and perspective. In working with people who struggle to integrate their cultural background with Anglo-American societal standards, I strive to assist my clients in appreciating and accepting their unique worldview formed by their diverse cultural experiences. It is an honor and a pleasure to serve my clients as a guide through their individual journeys.
