The psychological impact that an individual’s racial identity has on their overall being can be overpowering and directive. Many people feel pride based on their racial identity, however others may experience insecurities based on perceived judgements and interactions. It is important to build up a strong sense of racial identity and pride in order to maintain a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
