Rachel Brown is a licensed and board-certified Physician Assistant. She was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Hampshire College in Amherst, MA. She went on to attend Harvard University in Boston, MA, where she was awarded her Master of Arts in Immunology. She later earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Northwestern University. Prior to joining Clarity Clinic, she worked for over two years at a small psychiatric practice in Skokie, IL. There she treated patients in an outpatient clinic in addition to rounding on residents at several nursing facilities. This experience solidified her commitment to the practice of psychiatry.
Rachel is dedicated to providing compassionate care, working with patients to develop a care plan together. This treatment may consist of medication management, psychotherapy, and lifestyle changes, as necessary. She encourages patients to take an active role in their care. She has experience treating a range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, insomnia, ADHD, and schizophrenia. She is committed to continuing education and enjoys staying informed of the latest evidence-based treatments available in the area of psychiatry.
