Marriage and Family Therapist
Natalie Stanish is an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her M.S in Child Development and Family Studies, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Purdue University, as well as completed education certification as an Addiction Counselor. Natalie specializes in working with distressed and conflicted couples, adolescents, families, adults and co-parents. She has experience working with depression, anxiety, infidelity, marital discord, co-parenting, trauma and substance abuse/addiction. Natalie is also trained in PREPARE/ENRICH, one of the most widely used programs for premarital counseling and premarital education.
Natalie uses prominent Couple/Family Therapy approaches including Family Systems Theory, Emotionally-Focused Couple's Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Her holistic and non-blaming approach goes beyond the individual and addresses problems within the context of people's relationships, community, and environment. Natalie believes that relationships form a key part of a person's emotional health and places great importance on helping people work through and resolve their emotional injuries to achieve emotional healing. She has a passion for helping others find emotional healing and believes that every person has hidden strengths that can lead them to a place of happiness and wellbeing.
