Kemuel Hawkins, LMHCA | Therapist


Kemuel completed a Master's in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Purdue University Calumet, as well as an education certification in Addictions Counseling. Kemuel has previously worked in the Chicago Public Schools providing psychological interventions for students and families. He has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples in the treatment of a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, grief, and interpersonal/relational issues. Kemuel is a member of the American Counseling Association and the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy.

Kemuel employs an integrative approach in which he uses Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-based approaches, and somatic therapies to assist his clients in navigating a path to enhanced self-awareness and personal development. Kemuel approaches psychotherapy from a nonjudgmental, empathetic, and logical perspective, and through a collaborative effort with the individual, couple, or family, treatment is highly tailored to the needs of the client.
